Frequently Asked Questions Q: Do we offer more than a location? Yes! We offer centerpieces, bouquets, massage, jewelry, frames, and event coordination. Q: What is the capacity at The Oaks? 300 people. Q: What is the nearest lodging? El Capitan Canyon Resort is 2 miles down the road, Circle Bar B Ranch is 3 miles up the road and Bacara is 12 miles south bound. Q: Do you need to provide Event Insurance? Yes. Each event will require an insurance policy. This can be done through www.wedsafe.com. Q: Is there a back up site for poor weather? No. The Oaks is a fair weather site only. Q: Are tables chairs and heat lamps available through the Oaks at Orella? No. Tables chairs and heat lamps must be rented through an outside vendor. Q: Are you required to use an approved caterer? We can provide you with a list of recommended vendors who are familiar with The Oaks. Q: Are open flames allowed at The Oaks? No. Candles, lanterns and campfires are not allowed at The Oaks. Sky Island


An exceptional venue with a stunning view of the ocean, Santa Barbara’s Channel Islands, and one of the last expanses of undeveloped California coastline.  It is a magical ceremony site and also perfect for a cocktail hour.  It is graced with a beautiful handcrafted hupa made from reclaimed pine and eucalyptus.  Sky Island is a walk away from the Oaks site.


The Oaks


Graced by the three hundred year old grandfather oak, The Oaks is our premiere venue, perfect for a celebration with up to 300 people.  The Oaks boasts an amazing coastal view of El Capitan and the Gaviota Coast, lush lawn area, unique raised stage, tasteful lighting and a natural cob building with earthen oven. 

The Lone Oak


The Lone Oak provides a peaceful canopy for an intimate or large ceremony or gathering place.  This ancient oak is rich in history serving as a major navigational tool for centuries of mariners of the California Coast and is back dropped by the beautiful Pacific Ocean and Refugio Beach below.
